There’s a lot to
get to know here.

You’ll find water-privileged communities along the rivers and wooded streets farther inland. Near Benfield Road, the setting changes again. It’s worth spending some time in the neighborhoods to see where you feel at home.

For this guide, we follow the Severna Park High School feeder area. That reaches beyond a Severna Park mailing address, including communities in Millersville and parts of Arnold. We’ll help you work through the details of the home and the neighborhood around it.

School assignment, association boundaries and amenity eligibility need to be checked for each address.

The Severna Park
school connection.

These six elementary school areas feed into Severna Park Middle and Severna Park High. The map shows the high school attendance area used in the official AACPS 2026–27 school locator.

When you find a home you like, check the exact address. AACPS boundary changes took effect for 2026–27, and a neighborhood name or ZIP code alone won’t confirm a school assignment.

A few things buyers ask

Before you
choose a home.

What do you mean by Greater Severna Park?

Here, it means the communities within the Severna Park High School feeder area. That includes the six elementary school areas shown above, with Severna Park Middle and Severna Park High. Some homes have a Millersville or Arnold mailing address. Use the official AACPS lookup to confirm a specific home.

Does every Severna Park address attend Severna Park High?

A mailing address alone doesn’t establish school assignment. The same applies to real estate neighborhood labels and ZIP codes. Check the address in the AACPS locator for the year you need and confirm any enrollment questions with AACPS.

How do water privileges work?

Each community sets its own rules. A home may be eligible for an association beach or launch, while a boat slip has a separate waiting list or fee. Ask for the community documents and confirm the property’s eligibility directly with the association. A water view alone does not establish a right to use a pier or beach.

Can you help us compare neighborhoods?

Yes. Tell us what you need from the home and the area around it. We’ll help you compare actual addresses, look into community amenities and plan visits so you can get a feel for the places you’re considering.

We may sell next year. Is it too early to talk?

It’s a good time to start a conversation. Seeing the home and learning your timing helps us recommend which projects to consider before a move. You can email Jen and Megan whenever you’re ready.
